Press for Wasting Your Love

NeuFutur: "The eclectic blend of styles that Jameson & The Conditionals adopt during their new single Wasting Your Love will appease a wide swath of fans. This means that there are nods to funk, early-nineties jam band (e.g. Dave Matthews), and the passionate rock of The Wallflowers and Maroon 5. Uniting these distinct elements is a taut instrumentation that has each member contributing to a cohesive entity. The band can change styles on a whim, coming forth with an engrossing sound on Wasting Your Love that will stick with listeners long after the song ceases to play."
New Sick Music: "the music of Jameson & The Conditionals...may appear gentle and fluid at first, but with time grow to carry the kind of emotional weight that remains with you after the music has passed."
Essentially Pop: "Drawing his inspiration from Americana, folk, and classic rock, Jameson and The Conditionals nevertheless make it their own, with ‘Wasting Your Love’ a rock guitar track, with some psych elements which will catch you off-guard."
Music News: "Jameson Wandling is a first-rate songwriter, a gruffly sweet singer, a sonic archivist with comprehensive knowledge of adventurous music from the ‘70s, and a multi-instrumentalist of considerable daring and imagination."

Interview with
When The Horn Blows

Excerpt: "It's always fun when we bring someone - an experienced musician - in to do a part, and they tell us we're asking them to do something they've never really done before...a specific example of this happening during the tracking of the strings for ‘Wasting Your Love' was when the first violinist commented that the rhythm of the run of notes at the end of the middle section was something she hadn't seen much, and that it was a unique choice. Whether it was meant to be a compliment or not, I thought it was cool, especially for a guy who has no formal training in classical arrangement. But maybe that's why she doesn't see that kind of thing much. "
